I have the same question... Something appears to have changed about a week ago (an app update??). I have been using AA Torque for about a year without issues (except for a connection issue to my AA wireless adapter if my phone is not continuously nearby). My AA screen is now stuck on 'connecting to ECU'. If I manually open the Torque Pro app on my phone, then everything works as expected, and as it had for the past year. But if I exit the Torque Pro app on my phone, or make a different app the foreground app (I have since set Torque Pro so it can run in the background, which helps), the AA Torque's connection to the ECU is lost and the screen looses all data. I never had to manually open the Torque Pro app previously in order to make AA Torque work! My suspicion is that previously, when AA Torque was started in AA then Torque Pro, it would automatically open and close in the background on my phone as needed for AA Torque to work. Is this true? Why else would AA Torque have stopped automatically connecting to my ECU when AA Torque is opened on my AA head display? Thanks. PS. I am running AA Torque 2.0.29 & Torque Pro 1.12.108; My phone is a Samsung S23 that has been running Android 14. It did a 'security update' several days ago... Could that be a factor in why AA Torque stopped connecting automatically to my ECU?? I have looked for ways to roll back my phone security update to see if that is what broke AA Torque, but find no way to roll back security updates. I have also looked without success for a way to give AA Torque elevated privileges, to see if that would help. I also tried running |

THANK-YOU nugg1985 !! Your work-around worked for me. In fact, it even made AA Torque start up a little faster since Torque Pro had already started and connected to my ODBII module by the time I got to the AA menu to select the AA Torque app. FYI, I wasn't aware my phone had a Mode/Routines option. So in addition to the fix, I learned something new today! For those less familiar with nugg's fix-it steps, here's what I did: Android Phone Settings; Worked like a charm... Now somehow this workaround needs to be disseminated to others. |

Ok what is want to know is if torque pro isn't running on the phone is there a way when you select AA Torque on head unit it make the torque pro adaptor start so the plugins on AA Torque start instead of it saying connecting until I open the torque pro app on my phone. I swear it use to do this
