The signal efficiency of the second delta beta cut for T5 candidates varies significantly with eta. Outside the barrel, the efficiency on 100% matched tracks drops as low as 84%. In table form, here is the signal efficiency for this cut on 100% matched tracks as a function of abs(eta):
The signal efficiency of the second delta beta cut for T5 candidates varies significantly with eta. Outside the barrel, the efficiency on 100% matched tracks drops as low as 84%. In table form, here is the signal efficiency for this cut on 100% matched tracks as a function of abs(eta):
[0.996, 0.995, 0.996, 0.996, 0.915, 0.839, 0.912, 0.968, 0.994, 0.999] : efficiency
[0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2.0, 2.25, 2.5] : abs(eta) bins
You can see that at around abs(eta) 1.25 the efficiency drops to a low of 84%.
You can also see this decrease in efficiency in the performance plots. There is a noticeable dip in the pT5 efficiency around eta -1.25.
