The debug parameter is meant to help debug mediawiki static resource issues. But enabling is actually breaks a bunch of stuff.

A 2 second looks at the errors suggests this might be good place to start:

Refused to execute script from 'https://ropewiki.com/Extensions/usr/share/nginx/html/ropewiki/vendor/mediawiki/semantic-media-wiki/resources/smw/ext.smw.js' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.
