bold typing with 2** instead of one

Description:

I would like to type bold with the markdown syntax so looking at you wouldn't be bold.

Steps to reproduce:

Expected behavior:

looking at you is not bold

Actual behavior:

looking at you is bold

You can always press ctrl+b to start writing a bold text and ctrl+i for italics. 🙂
Same for selecting the a portion of text and then pressing ctrl+b

I think single * is used for markdown convenience for the mobile applications.
