Instructions for installing on Windows

I'm running Windows Server 2022, with Apache and MySQL. All the commands listed to install Genealogy are for Linux / Bash. Are there equivalent instructions for Windows CMD or Powershell?

Hi there,

I use a Windows based development machine myself.
The instructions to install the project are not Linux or Bash instructions.
But you'll need some kind of development stack.
In my case I use Laravel Herd and MySQL 9.2.
Laravel Herd includes PHP, Node.js (including npm) and Composer.
So on your machine, you'll need to install seperately:

• PHP 8.3 or 8.4
• Node.js 22
• Composer

Or just use Laravel Herd.

Thank you for that info. I just saw the use of "cp" and figured that the rest were also Linux-based commands with which I was unfamiliar. I'll check out Laravel Herd.
