Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://wordpress.com/post and add a title and some content
  2. Open "More Options" in the left sidebar
  3. Search for a location such as a city name
  4. Select the city name
  5. Check to see if there is a pin on the map

Result: the map doesn't include a pin.

Here's how it looks in Calypso:

/hat tip @obenland for the original report, he also said:

It would be nice to specify the name of the city again in an input field.
